Advice for Travelling on ID Standby

  • Please ensure ticket issuance and relisting via myIDTravel is completed at least three hours before the upgrade begins to avoid disruption.
  • Please list all your preferred flights in advance during the system upgrade. i.e., if your first-choice flight is full and you're not accepted on it, backup options will help secure your travel plans. Manual relisting and myIDTravel access will not be available during the upgrade.
  • Airport check-in agents will not be able to manually amend ID listings during the system outage.

Travel Preparation Tips

Dress code

  • The dress code on UO is neat casual, and Eligible Travellers are expected to be well-groomed.

General

  • When using staff leisure travel, all Eligible Travellers must conduct themselves in a manner that will not adversely affect the service provided to revenue passengers at all times. The airport team and cabin crew will try their utmost to assist Eligible Travellers but their priority is to serve revenue passengers.

Eligible Travellers must adhere to the following code of conduct:

• Observe the highest standards of courtesy and conduct towards everyone with whom they come into contact.

• Respect the airlines’ employees who are on duty by co-operating and complying with relevant terms of leisure travel and this Policy.

• Ensure employees, retirees and their travel nominees have read and understand the rules of conduct and dress code before any trip.

• Never be involved in any conflicts that would create a scene in front of customers. • Eligible Travellers’ behaviours should be unobtrusive.

• Eligible Travellers must avoid drawing attention to the fact that they are travelling on ID Tickets as an employee, a retiree or a travel nominee, as this may affect the travel experience of other revenue passengers. The airport representative holds the final decision to any dispute that may arise over the priority of onloading. Arguments or disagreements will not be tolerated at check-in counter or in front of other passengers. All ID Travellers are expected follow all instructions from the crew members, and behave in an appropriate manner while traveling on the UO flights.

Special meals

  • No outside food and beverage is allowed to be consumed on-board the aircraft. Our ground staff may stop you from bringing such items onboard.   HK Express offers a wide selection of hot and cold meals, drinks and alcoholic beverages which are available for purchase from our onboard menu.

Unaccompanied minors

  • ID passengers who are under the age of 16 must travel accompanied by an adult holding the same type of ticket.
