1) **Use myIDTravel to issue ticket.**  Please only select "one-way" to issue ticket ; select round-trip or mutli leg will receive error at last payment step

We will fix this problem asap.

2 ) No need to insert real passport information. Insert a fake passport number, Nationality and expiry date to bypass the request. E.g. Albania, Passport number H1234 , expiry date Dec 2026. HX will not reject you check-in due to incorrect passport info.

3 ) Business class quotation error. If a flight not serving provide business class. You will not able to get quotation. To check whether a flight is proivding business class. Select a flight and tap "Show details" , "Flight Details" , if seat avaibale showing C# D# J# Z# then it is providing business class service.

***Please MUST use myIDTravel to issue ticket***. If not, you may have trouble during check-in when using your own airline ticket. ID passengers ticket are not issued through myIDTravel are required to do a flight listing on E /or I class through email stafftravel@hkairlines.com (only working Mon-Fri 0900-1700 Hong Kong Time GMT+8) and request at least 8 hours before departure. 

Meal service is not guaranteed to ID passengers.

Credit Card Payment

DO NOT use pre-paid credit card to issue. It will cause HX unable to receive payment.

Do not use chargeback/credit card dispute to refund your transaction or ticket. Hong Kong Airlines Limited reserves the right to dispute an illegitimate chargeback and charge the additional chargeback fees to the cardholder.

Visas and Passports and API

  • Passengers must possess valid tickets and proper travel documents (including valid visas / entry permit if required) for all countries to or via which they travel, unless an exemption to that effect is granted by the country authorities.
  • Passport must be valid for at least 6 months, while travel visa and/or entry permit must be valid for the period of stay or beyond depending on the country concerned.
  • Failure to comply with the standard requirement may result in problems with passenger processing and refusal for entry.

Dress code

  • ID passengers should be dressed in accordance with public standards of good taste. This will normally mean attire suitable for an office, or smart casual wear. It excludes, sweat-shirts, shorts, gym shoes, and similar extremes of casual wear.
  • Dress standards are enforced at airports and our Airport Services staff have the final say on what is or is not acceptable dress and if the standard of dress is improper the ID passenger will not be accepted for boarding.

Checked Baggage

Hong Kong Airlines Limited is not liable for lost, damaged, or delayed baggage of non-revenue travellers.

Free checked Baggage Allowance for adutl and children passengers travelling with ID tickets:

Max 2 pieces.

20KG for economy class; 40kg for business class. Infant is 10 kg on all classes.

Reshedule

Please reschedule via myIDTravel before the original deparutre time. You will unable to reshedule the ticket if original flight departed. Please reshedule to a later date if you have not decide new travel date. Reschedule is not allowed after cancel segement.

ID passengers who have been accepted for boarding should arrive at the boarding gate at least 30 minutes before flight departure.

Inflight meal may be not avabile to serve. Special meals are not available to any standby passengers. If you have specific dietary needs or preferences, you should carry on board your own provisions.

Unaccompanied minors

ID passengers who are under the age of 16 must travel accompanied by an adult holding the same type of ticket.

Insurance

HX recommends all ID passengers to arrange comprehensive insurance. 

Back-up tickets

  • ID passengers are expected to purchase all tickets that are likely to require from own airline.
  • HX will not issue any rebate tickets for ID passengers from interlines.
