Flight listing policy and procedures  

       It is recommended that employees should check flight information beforehand to avoid travel disruption as the entry

       restrictions of each airport will vary.

  • Flight listing must be made SIX hours before departure with CI worldwide reservations.  RBD X must be listed with.  For access to the carrier's reservation offices, you can refer to website of www.china-airlines.com

Visas and Passports and API

  • Passengers must possess valid tickets and proper travel documents (including valid visas / entry permit if required) for all countries to or via which they travel, unless an exemption to that effect is granted by the country authorities.
  • Passports must be valid for at least 6 month, while visa and/or entry permit must be valid for the period of stay or beyond depending on the regulations of the country concerned.
  • Failure to comply with the standard requirement may result in problems with passenger processing and refusal for entry.

Flights excluded

  • All code-share flights not operated by CI, domestic sectors within a country and charter flights. 
  • ID passengers won't be accepted for boarding during the first three months from the date an inaugural flight is operated.

  • Please be notified that China Airlines and Mandarin Airlines will stop honoring Employee and ZED Discounted Tickets 20 minutes prior to the check-in counter closed at all airports with effect from 1Jul2023.

Dress code

  • ID passengers should be dressed in accordance with public standards of good taste. This normally means attire suitable for an office, or smart casual wear.  It excludes jeans, T-shirts, sweat-shirts, shorts, gym shoes, and similar extremes of casual wear.
  • Dress standards are enforced at airports and our Airport services staff have the final say on what is or is not acceptable dress.   If the way the passenger dressed is deemed to be improper, the ID passenger will not be accepted for boarding.

  • Special meals are not available to any standby passenger.   If you have specific needs or preferences, you should carry on-board your own provisions.

Unaccompanied minors

  • ID passengers who are under 16 years of age must travel accompanied by an adult holding the same type of ticket.

Baggage Allowance

   CI ZED Free Baggage Allowance will be amended as following approximate at 00:00 GMT on 10Dec2022 (ticket issued date) :

   Long Haul : 2 pieces, 23kg per piece

   Short Haul(Within Asia/Between AU-NZ) : 1 piece, 23kg per piece
