eTICKETING
Electronic tickets are required for space-available ZED travel on Seaborne. Employees and all eligible travellers must present an electronic ZED (eZED) ticket number for travel on Seaborne.
GENERAL ACCEPTANCE OF BAGGAGE
Seaborne's normal baggage allowances apply, see www.seaborneairlines.com for details, except that the 1st and 2nd checked baggage fee is waived for ZED ticketed travelers unless oversized or overweight.
Seaborne will accept through checked baggage to the traveler’s final destination.
Baggage is defined as articles, effects and other personal property that is necessary or appropriate for wear, use, comfort or convenience in connection with air travel, whether checked in the cargo compartment or carried in the passenger compartment. All baggage is subject to inspection. Check baggage will be accepted for transportation only on flights on which you are traveling. Seaborne will not accept baggage whose size, weight, or character makes it unsuitable for transportation on the aircraft as determined by Seaborne.
No article will be accepted as baggage if it weighs more than 70 pounds or has a total outside dimension (length plus width plus height) that exceeds the limits of Seaborne aircraft. For specific aircraft limitations, contact Seaborne Airlines.
CARRY-ON-BAGGAGE
Seaborne Airlines Carry -on-Baggage Program allows for one small carry on bag plus one personal item per passenger as long as the cary-on-bag fits comfortably in the sizer without being forced and does not exceed overall dimensions of 45 inches (length + width + height). The maximum dimensions cannot exceed any of the following measurements: 22″ long x 14″ wide x 9″ tall of 115 cm (56 x 36 x 23cm). All carry-on-bags will be accepted planeside and delivered planeside at destination. All personal items may not exceed 37 inches (14″ x 14″ x9″/36 x 36 x 23cm) and must fit under the seat or in an overhead compartment (Saab 340B aircraft only) Baggage cannot exceed over 30lbs.
Personal item includes: purse, briefcase, laptop bag OR a similar item such as a tote that does not exceed 37 inches will be allowed in the cabin (length + width + height) and must fit under the seat in front of you (Saab340B aircraft only).
- Items not meeting these requirements must be checked as luggage. When applicable, the normal extra baggage rate will be levied.
- Fragile or valuable items, such as keys, medication or computers should be carried in your personal item.
- Carry-on items which appear too large or irregularly shaped to fit under a seat or in an overhead compartment (where applicable), will not be accepted for passenger cabin stowage.
Any mobility aid or assistive device that is approved for in-cabin transport on Seaborne, and is carried by a qualify disabled passenger, is accepted free of charge and is in addition to normal baggage allowances, provided such aid or device fits in an approved stowage space.
All items must be completely stowed before the airplane may depart
BOARDING POLICY
Employees of other airlines and their eligible travelers will be accommodated on Seaborne's at priority "ZED", after Seaborne's own employees and their guests on personal travel.
Boarding will be based on time of check-in. Date of joining will not be a factor.
If Seaborne is not able to accommodate you on the flight requested, our agents will "roll" you to the next Seaborne operating flight. You will retain your original time of check-in for processing from the priority list.
CHECK-IN
For space-available (or “standby”) personal travel, employees must check in at an airport ticket counter. To allow for added security procedures, employees must check-in no later than 60 minutes for domestic travel and 90 minutes for international.
CODE OF CONDUCT
- Employees must ensure that no inconvenience is given to Seabonre's commercial passengers and that ground staff and cabin crew are not distracted from giving maximum service to such passengers.
- Employees may use ZED tickets for personal pleasure travel only. ZED tickets may not be used for any kind of business-related travel.
- ZED tickets are not transferable. They may not be sold, purchased, donated, traded, or exchanged for goods or services.
- Employees must not discuss with revenue passengers the costs or conditions of their reduced rate ticket.
- Employees must cooperate fully with instructions and decisions given by BB employees on duty. Incidents of unfair or improper treatment should be reported to Seaborne via the employee’s staff travel department, not by the employee directly to BB.
- After checking in at the airport, employees must remain clear of the ticket lift desk or service center until they are called by name to receive a seat assignment.
- When given a boarding pass, employees must board as soon as directed and take their assigned seat. Employees must not ask other passengers to move to improve their seating. If asked to change seats, change cabin, or to deplane, employees must do so quickly and quietly.
DENIED BOARDING
Employees holding ZED tickets who are not accommodated on their intended Seaborne flight are not entitled and must refuse to accept Denied Boarding Compensation (DBC).
DOCUMENTATION
Employees and their eligible travellers are expected to hold all pertinent travel documents such as passport, visas and health certificate required by the country of destination and for every point en route, in case offloading should become necessary for commercial or other reasons.
BB reserves the right to deny boarding to any traveller who does not hold the appropriate documents for any point to be transited on route.
DRESS CODE
Our airline partners can and will deny you boarding in the event that you are not properly attired. You need to be aware that you are representing Seaborne Airlines. Seaborne Airlines approved appropriate dress attire is as follows:
- Employees are asked to always wear clothing that is clean and neat.
- Long Jeans and athletic shoes are acceptable .
- Employees may not wear clothing that is torn, dirty, or frayed, clothing that is distracting or offensive to others, anything revealing (e.g., extreme mini-skirts, halter and bra-tops, sheer or see-through clothing), or visible swimwear, sleepwear, or underwear.
- Clothing that is vulgar or violates community standards of decency is also never appropriate, including items that have words, terms, or pictures that may be offensive to others.
- No Flip flops
- Bare feet are also not permitted.
*PET EMBARGO TO/FROM THESE DESTINATIONS:
The well being of your pet is important to us. Seaborne Airlines processes a high volume of both passengers and checked baggage at various destinations. This results in space constraints in the aircraft’s cabin and baggage compartment. Pets are not permitted to travel in the cabin or as checked baggage on flights to or from St. Kitts, Nevis. Dominica and the Dominican Republic.
Seaborne Airlines will not accept pets presented for shipment to or from St. Kitts, Nevis, Dominica and the Dominican Republic.
• Travelers with tickets issued prior to 6/17/2014 for destinations listed above with confirmed pet reservations will be honored for travel through September 3rd, 2014. No new Reservations
This policy does not apply to service animals.
SECURE FLIGHT DATA
Secure Flight Data (i.e., date of birth, full name, redress number if available) will be collected at the time a flight listing is made.
SPECIAL SERVICE REQUESTS
Employees with disabilities are eligible for similar support services offered to Seaborne's revenue passengers.
Services offered (free of charge):
- Meet and assist
- Courtesy wheelchairs
- Checked personal wheelchairs
- Assistance with connecting flights
- If a seat has been assigned, employees may pre-board a flight as needed.
Employees should contact BB at 1-866-359-8784 to have their reservation record updated with the special service request.
Employees traveling with a battery-powered wheelchair should contact Seaborne reservations in advance of travel to allow for preparation in accommodating the wheelchair.
CARRIAGE OF CHILDREN - UNACCOMPANIED
A service charge will be assessed for unaccompanied children on all flights. Unaccompanied minors from the USVI fee is $25.00 all other destinations other than the USVI are $50.00.
- Unaccompanied children-a child/minor under 12 years of age not accompanied on the same flight and the same compartment by a passenger at least 16 years of age.
- Unaccompanied children under 5 years of age will not be accepted under any circumstances.
- Unaccompanied children will be accepted on nonstop flights only
Guardians dropping off unaccompanied children must complete and sign appropriate paperwork upon check-in and verification made that the guardian at the destination is present and ready to accept the child and sign release paperwork. The child must be met at the destination by another parent or responsible adult.
Seaborne does not accept unaccompanied children when their itinerary includes a connection to /from another airline, including codeshare partners.
